As America commemorates its 250th anniversary, the Mid Shore Constitution Alliance invites residents and visitors to become part of history by signing a commemorative Declaration of Independence banner.
The eight-foot banner will be on display at the Easton branch of the Talbot County Free Library throughout Independence Day week, giving community members the opportunity to add their names in honor of the nation's founding and the enduring ideals expressed in the Declaration of Independence.
The banner debuted during the St. Michaels Flag Day Celebration as part of the Talbot250, Maryland250, and America250 commemorations. Once complete, it will be preserved in a Talbot County Government time capsule as part of the Talbot250 legacy, creating a lasting record of community participation during America's 250th anniversary.
Visit the library between June 29 and July 5 to sign the banner and leave your mark on this historic celebration.
