The Talbot250 Commission is dedicated to celebrating the 250th anniversary of our nation and the 365th anniversary of Talbot County’s founding by promoting local initiatives and events. We aim to engage the community and foster a sense of pride in our Talbot history and rich heritage.

Meetings

The Commission will meet quarterly to plan and coordinate celebrations through 2026.

All meetings listed will be held at the IT Conference Room at the Talbot County Courthouse, starting at 5 PM unless otherwise stated. All meetings are open to the public, and virtual options are available upon request.

As stated in the founding document, the Commission provides quarterly reports to the Talbot County Council. The public is welcome to review these reports to see how the Commission has evolved since its inception in early 2025.

Through various events and initiatives, the Talbot250 Commission encourages local participation to ensure that everyone has a voice in commemorating this significant milestone.

While the Commission is currently not accepting new Commission members, we encourage the public to reach out to any commission member or attend one of meetings to learn more!
