The Art Exhibition
Shorelines of Time: Celebrating Talbot250 features original artwork by members of the Working Artists’ Forum inspired by the landscapes, traditions, and people that define Talbot County. Artists were invited to explore themes such as historic buildings, life on the water and on the farm, shorelines and boating, native plants and wildlife, and the individuals—past and present—who have shaped the county’s story.
The exhibition will be displayed in The Gallery at Dover Station, a rotating gallery space inside The Market at Dover Station from May 2 through June 28, 2026.

Community Paper Quilt Project
As part of the exhibition, the Working Artists’ Forum is inviting residents and visitors to help create a Talbot250 Paper Quilt—a collaborative community artwork celebrating the stories and memories that connect people to Talbot County.
Participants are encouraged to write a few lines on a paper quilt piece reflecting on what Talbot County means to them. These reflections may include favorite memories, traditions of working on the water or farming, thoughts about the county’s history, or tributes to people who have made a difference in the community.
Once assembled, the quilt will form a large community artwork displayed at The Market at Dover Station, allowing visitors to read and experience the collective voices of Talbot County.
