Two Lights for Tomorrow was a community-wide moment of reflection and participation held from April 18–20, 2025 as part of Talbot250’s commemorations leading up to America’s 250th anniversary. Inspired by the historic lantern signal from Boston’s Old North Church on the night of April 18, 1775 — “one if by land, and two if by sea” — Talbot County invited residents, businesses, schools, and organizations to display two lights at sunset on April 18 to honor the founding era and the enduring values of unity, service, and courage.
