Join the Academy Art Museum for its 16th annual Juneteenth celebration, honoring the history and voices of Easton’s Hill Community—one of the nation’s oldest free African American neighborhoods.
This year’s program centers the Hill Community through guided tours, a teen essay showcase, hands-on art activities, local food, and a featured lecture by Tawny Chatmon (3–4 PM). The event also includes a special artifact installation, mural project, and participation from regional partners.
Free and open to all, this is a day to gather, reflect, and connect through local history and shared experience.
