Talbot250 Community Paper Quilt
Stories stitched together, one voice at a time.
As Talbot County prepares to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary, residents across the county have been sharing something even more personal — their own stories.
Inspired by her love for the community, local artist Suzanne Stoltenberg of the Working Artists Forum began collecting memories earlier this year. What started as a simple idea grew into a vibrant paper quilt, filled with handwritten reflections from people of all ages and backgrounds.
Collected at libraries, senior centers, the YMCA, and community events, each piece tells a different story. Some are just a sentence or two. Others are carefully written, filling every inch of space.
Together, they form a living portrait of Talbot County — shaped by the people who know it best.
