The Chesapeake Catboat Association invites the community to a special presentation celebrating the legacy of Maynard Lowery, one of Tilghman Island’s most respected woodenboat builders.

  • Marc Cruder – CDR, USCG (Ret.) - former Chief of Inspection, Baltimore; former CCBA Commodore

  • Unique features of Maynard’s catboats 

  • Rich and Marc will share stories and rare photos connected to Maynard Lowery 

  • A display of halfhull models built by Maynard Lowery and his friend and fellow catboat builder Joe Liener who was from Wittman  

  • Presentation of a Fenwick Williams 16 Catboat half-hull model to Tilghman Island Watermen’s Museum
