New for 2026, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s Chesapeake Celebrations highlight the region’s history, environment, and culture through hands-on activities and on-the-water experiences. Events take place throughout the summer, beginning with Savor the Shore on May 16.

This food-focused celebration explores the Chesapeake through what’s on your plate, from seafood and garden harvests to traditional cooking practices. Guests can enjoy demonstrations, tastings, family activities, and talks from local experts and community partners.

Included with general admission (free for members), Savor the Shore runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on CBMM’s campus.
