Bus Trip: Museum of the American Revolution

Join the members of the General Perry Benson Chapter of the DAR on a field trip to the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia on Tuesday October 21, 2025

The museum shares compelling stories about the diverse people and complex events that sparked America’s ongoing experiment in liberty, equality and self-government..

Two pickup locations include Tractor Supply Co in Chestertown, MD @ 7:00 AM or Kohl’s in Easton, MD @ 8:00 AM. The bus returns to Easton at 5:00 PM and Chestertown at 6:00 PM later during the same day.

If you have not attended this museum before, the trip will be worth your time and cost.  The museum offers a film about General Washington’s Revolutionary War tent where he and many others, including Colonel Tench Tilghman, Alexander Hamilton, and the Marquis de Lafayette spent so much time and made many critical decisions. Following the film, a curtain is raised and you can view the actual war tent which served as the mobile command center for the Continental Army.  This tent was present at the scene of many pivotal moments, including the 1781 Siege of Yorktown, the last major battle of the Revolutionary War.

Seating is limited (First Come – First Served).
