Two lives forever changed by 9/11 come together in this powerful live performance blending storytelling, theatre, and music.
Behind the Lines: A 9/11 Story brings audiences inside the lived experiences of World Trade Center firefighter Bill Spade, the sole survivor of FDNY Rescue Company 5, and combat veteran Jaymes Poling of the 82nd Airborne Division. Through deeply personal first-person storytelling, the production explores service, sacrifice, grief, resilience, and the unexpected bond formed between two men from different generations.
Created by internationally acclaimed jazz trumpeter Dominick Farinacci and veteran Jaymes Poling, the immersive performance features a live ensemble performing original music alongside reimagined works by Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Gnarls Barkley, and others.
The event is presented by the Dock Street Foundation and For All Seasons with support from community sponsors.
