Student Opportunities & Contests

  • America’s Field Trip

    A nationwide contest for students in grades 3–12 to reflect on what “America” means to them through essays, art, or multimedia for a chance to win an educational field trip. Great for social studies, art, and language arts classrooms.

  • Maryland History Day

    A year-long research competition allowing students to create projects (papers, exhibits, films, performances, or websites) based on an annual historical theme. Excellent for research skills, cross-curricular learning, and National History Day advancement.

  • National Civics Bee

    A civics competition designed to build students’ understanding of U.S. government, civic engagement, and critical thinking through written and live challenges. Ideal for middle school civics and government classes.
